Review :

A mix of variety acts from around the world

Larry Carter is trying to sell the idea for a travel inspired television program to the head of an airline. When the sale seems uncertain Carter tells his girlfriend that the honeymoon maybe off. She backs him up and he hits his head against a fire extinguisher and is knocked cold. We then watch as Carter dreams a version of the show as we travel the world, and into space to see a variety of variety acts. Good film plays like series of musical numbers in a mid-budget movie musical all strung together. I'm guessing that the producers got away with things looking better than they had a right to because all of the acts came with their own equipment (kind of like the musical numbers in Ray Dennis Steckler's The Incredibly Strange Creatures that Stopped Living and Became Mixed up Zombies...looked good because he used a show troop that provided the costumes and talent). Its an enjoyable little film, though once Carter hits his head all notion of a plot is gone until he wakes up at the end. Its basically Ed Sullivan before Sullivan was on TV. (Holiday in the title refers to a vacation)
