A singer and dancer par excellence, Lata lives a wealthy lifestyle with her dad, Choudhry Goverdhanlal Patwardhanlal and mom. Her parents would like her to get married to wealthy Shekhar, who she initially approves of. Shortly thereafter she meets with Vasant Kumar and both fall in love with each other. Forgettable movie

If you leave the music tracks and some good performances by Om Prakash and Pran aside, it looks like you are watching a stage drama. Everyone except these two have over acted. Both Vaijayantimala, in his first Hindi movie, and Pandahri Bai (credited as Padmini) looked beautiful, though. Magnificent S.D.Burman music makes it the sixth highest grocer in 1951. Melodious tracks includes; 1) Saiyan Dil Mein Aana Re, 2) Duniya Ka Maza Le Lo, 3) Pyar Ki Bahar Le Ke, 4) Kusur Aapka Kusur Aapka, 5) Bhagwan Do Ghadi Zara, 6) Chhodo Ji Kanhaiya Kalaiyan, 7) Aye Zindagi Ke Rahi and 8) Sataye Huye Ko Satati Hai.
